Since day 1, Atlanta Tech Blogs has been an experiment made up of dozens of little experiments. Today, we’re trying something new: user submitted content.

But, you ask, how is that different from aggregating hundreds of blogs like you’re doing already and have been doing for over a year? Good question. When we aggregate blog posts through RSS syndication, we just do it with or without the bloggers’ knowledge. It’s user generated but not user submitted.

Today, for the next few weeks, we’re experimenting with accepting user submitted posts through a very simple UI here. It doesn’t have to be a blog post. It can be an article, an image, a blog post, or whatever, as long as it has a title and a URL we can link to. We won’t host any content, but we will link to it, share it socially, and include it in the Daily Digest email the following morning.

So, got news? We’ll share it for you. This should be a fun, learning experiment, and I look forward to sharing the results in a month or so.

What do you think about that?
