Back in September of 2017, we announced that Pitch Practice had partnered with New Story Charity to fund a new, forever home for a family who currently lives in a tent in El Salvador. A scant 92 days later, I am overwhelmed to announce that we made it: the Escobar Campos family’s home is 109% funded. Pitch Practice community, you did this. You funded this home. Thank you!

Now what?

We made it! So, now the Escobar Campos family will soon be moving from a tent, which comes complete without:

  • a roof
  • doors
  • a floor
  • security
  • plumbing
  • electricity
  • windows
  • an oven, stove, refrigerator, or shower
  • safety

Into a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home with:

  • A sturdy metal roof
  • Electricity
  • Plumbing
  • A floor
  • A shower
  • A locking door
  • Hope for the future

Funded, Now Under Construction

We made it, and now we get to build it! It takes a few months to build each home, but this home has their name on it, and it’s all because of you.

The story of the Escobar Campos family up until now has been one of desperation, day to day living, disease, crime, cold, and uncertainty. Because you heard our call, and answered with your wallets, you are giving this family a new story. That’s what New Story Charity is all about: giving families all over the world – starting in Haiti, El Salvador, and Mexico – a new story to tell.

Stay tuned for more updates. For now, know that you have contributed to the blessing of a family by helping build them the home they’ve never had. I cannot wait to see the video of them taking the keys and unlocking their new front door for the first time!
