Life’s too short to spend 1/3 of your life at a job that brings you zero fulfillment.
Get High at Work!
The question
Why are 81% of all adult employees “not engaged” at work?
A 2025 study by ADP Research determined that more than 4 out of 5 adults in the workplace are not engaged at their job. The study emphasizes that employers should help their employees “find purpose.”
I think it’s your responsibility. More specifically, I believe it’s your responsibility to identify what brings you fulfillment.
How do you ‘find fulfillment’ in your work? You don’t find it; you create it. You make your work fulfilling by doing the things you were created to do, with zero expectation of anything in return.
Identify your gift, then give it away.
God-given Talent
× Giving
× Gratitude
Fulfillment
The intersection of work, talent, and the biology of giving and gratitude, explodes when you take the time to identify your unique gift, and then put it to work with zero expectations.
About Kevin
Kevin Sandlin is a serial entrepreneur, small-business owner, instructor, and speaker whose career has been shaped by one constant: learning through experience.
Let’s be honest: serial entrepreneur actually means “I’m unemployable.” I’ve failed miserably, and been miserable in many different roles.
Then I realized that, whenever I put my gift to work, all the other crap paled in comparison, and I loved going to work, no matter where it was or what I was doing.

How we work
Let’s start with a simple conversation. Arrange a video call and we’ll talk about what you’re working on, what you’re trying to accomplish, and how I might be able to help.
The what, where, when, and how are easy. The “why”, the message, is the deep, messy, fun part that’s all about your audience. That’s where we’ll really dig into how you – or your employees – can go about identifying what it is that brings you fulfillment, and how to put those gifts to work.

LV: The Forgotten Trade
We had an intro/discovery call with a prospective low voltage client today. We do these calls all the time. Every call, just like every client, is completely different. This one was different because the client had a plan; an LV spec document. Wow. That’s rare indeed. The spec called for different colored Cat6 cables for…

Still using Google?!?
Other than a specific “Image Search”, I no longer use Google to search for anything. I use Grok. If you’re not familiar with Grok, it’s the artificial intelligence engine produced by xAI, one of Elon Musk’s businesses. Grok is fed real time data via the “firehose” that comes out of X. Why Grok? Why not…

Simplify Your A/V
Your conference rooms’ A/V does not have to be complicated. You should not have to “Call IT!!” to come fix your conference room’s A/V system. Ever. So why do we hear over and over and over the following mantra: “Yeah, can y’all come have a look at our conference rooms? Nothing ever works. Completely unreliable.”?…
