Teaching Twice at GA {Adult} Summer Camp

General Assembly Atlanta is kicking off their {Adult} Summer Camp this week, and I’m honored and excited to be leading two classes during this fun week of digital learning.
Wednesday evening from 7-9PM, I’ll be leading Pitch Camp. I just recently wrote about what we’ve learned from nearly 2 years and over 500 pitches at Pitch Practice every Friday, so this Wednesday evening we’ll be digging deep into each of these lessons. There are so many different aspects of pitching for your brand – corporate or personal – and we will spend a good amount of time working through various types and lengths of pitches. Everything from this 2 hour seminar is something you can immediately apply to your business, whatever stage you may be in.
Thursday afternoon from 1-4PM is “How to Measure Social Media ROI“, which is the basis for this blog post. This seminar is a great class for those who are working in social media and need to gain a solid understanding of the costs of social media and how to attribute revenue to social media activities. With the advent and continuous improvement and focus on social selling, it’s very important to understand how social media plays in the marketing funnel, and that’s where we will be spending most of our time.
I hope to see many of you on Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon for Pitch Camp and How to Measure Social Media ROI, along with some of the other classes that GA Atlanta has going on this week at Summer Camp.

  • Why You Must Blog If You’re Running A Startup

I’m in the content marketing business, so that’s generally the subject that ensues when someone asks me what I’m up to these days. When someone asks me what that means, I break it down into two parts: I create content strategy and I create content. What kind of content? Blogs. Those who understand the value…

  • Nothing Hurts Like a Date

A wise friend and business partner many years ago said something to me when we were planning a project with our team. We had the what, the where, the why, and the how. We were all in agreement, and then he asked “when?” We all kinda mumbled and didn’t really give it any credence. Then…

  • Blogging for your Brand 2

Tonight General Assembly hosted the second session of “Blogging for your Brand” at their new facility in Ponce City Market. First, this coming Wednesday,…

The fourth and final of our guest speakers in this 2nd cohort of Digital Marketing at General Assembly was none other than coffee & beer master Jason Dominy. • “Shut Up & Listen” to Van Baird

Last night, we enjoyed the third of our four scheduled guest speakers at the Digital Marketing class at General Assembly.
